Get ready for an exciting new school year! It will be here before we know it! Please take a moment to review key dates to ensure a smooth and successful start to the school year.
Below are the important dates you need to know to ensure your student starts off on the right foot. Be sure to save them, and stay tuned for additional reminders and updates as the school year approaches.
Important Dates:
- Health Forms Deadline: Friday, August 1
- Back-to-School Materials Published in HawksNest: Friday, August 15
- Orientation* & PK Classroom Visits; Optional Conferences for Grades K-8: Friday, August 29
- First Day of School: Tuesday, September 2 (PK dismisses at 10:30 a.m.)**
- Welcome Back Picnic: Saturday, September 6, 4:00-5:30 p.m.
- Lower School Back-to-School Night: Thursday, September 11, 6:15 p.m.
- Middle School Back-to-School Night: Thursday, September 18, 6:15 p.m.

* Orientation is for all new students and parents in grades PK-8, as well as all kindergartners (and parents) and all fifth graders (and parents). The schedule for this special morning at Norwood will be posted to your Back-to-School Resources in HawksNest on August 15, 2025.
**Optional 15-minute Zoom conferences for PK families will be offered on Tuesday, September 2 (11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.) and Wednesday, September 3 (1:00-3:00 p.m.). The sign-up link will be posted on the Back-to-School Resource Board in HawksNest.
