Nothing is more important to a school’s long-term financial health and stability than a strong endowment. Endowments flourish in two ways: 1) through investment returns, and 2) through new contributions. The principal of a new contribution is invested and generates income and market appreciation, a portion of which supports school operations annually while the remainder is reinvested, allowing the balance to grow over time. Norwood is fortunate to have several endowed funds. These funds are organized into five areas of critical institutional support: faculty professional development, academic enrichment, student financial aid, facilities, and special projects.
Norwood is grateful to the families and community members who have established endowed funds that continue to provide renewable and sustainable support for our people and programs.
