Welcome!

It begins with a simple promise: Your child will be known and loved. Norwood is a nationally recognized PK-8 independent school where students are academically challenged and supported, while developing positive character in young people. Our students are known for being intelligent, empathic, and conscientious citizens of the world. We encourage you to explore our website to learn more about our PK-8 program, our extensive program offerings, and our diverse and welcoming community. Norwood students are empowered to make a difference, and they do.

Of course, the best way to experience Norwood is to visit our beautiful 40-acre campus located at the corner of River Road and Bradley Boulevard in Bethesda, Maryland, less than one mile from the Capital Beltway and 5.7 miles from the DC line. Our spacious grounds and child-centered learning environment provide students with the room they need to grow in mind, body, and spirit, as they discover their unique gifts and the world around them.

Discover the power of PK-8. Discover Norwood!
