Norwood offers four options for the care of students after their regular dismissal time: Bridge Care, After Care, Enrichment, and Middle School Academies. All options provide a neighborhood environment where students can feel safe, make connections, and have a whole lot of fun learning through play. Building on Norwood's strong sense of community, we focus not only on fun, but also on the values that make our neighborhood a great place to be. As our students interact with friends - enjoying the wide variety of materials available or participating in different games and activities - our teachers are there to guide them through teachable moments that foster social-emotional growth and an atmosphere of caring and joy that make our After School Programs a happy and special place to spend the after-school hours.

Enrichment Program

GRADES PK-6
Specialty courses offered throughout the year
Days and times vary

The Enrichment Program consists of after-school courses that foster a joyful and enriching learning experience for each child. With courses ranging from the arts to the sciences, from technology to cooking, from sports to magic, and everything in between, the program aims to plant the seeds of curiosity, discovery, and a life-long love of learning in children as they explore some of their favorite hobbies and interests, as well as discover new and fascinating ones! A new course schedule is offered in the fall, winter, and spring. Norwood families learn about available courses and the registration process in the Thursday Memo.

MIDDLE SCHOOL ACADEMIES

GRADES 5-8

MSA offers specialty courses on Fridays, seasonally, to students in grades 5-8. Enrollment is limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration opens at noon on the Tuesday before the week that classes are scheduled to begin. Classes start immediately after the school day ends on Fridays, unless advertised otherwise. Middle school students are notified of MSA offerings during lunch, chapel, and via email. Parents are notified through the Thursday Memo.
