Open House: Mornings With Matthew

Offered several times throughout the year, our “Open House: Mornings with Matthew” provides prospective parents with the opportunity to meet our Head of School, Matthew Gould, in an informal and intimate setting. Parents may engage in personal and dynamic conversations with Matthew about programmatic philosophy, strategic initiatives, and other topics of interest. Afterward, you may attend an optional tour. Parents/Guardians Only.

Open House: Meet The Academic Leaders

"Open House: Meet the Academic Leaders” offers prospective parents the opportunity to learn more about our school program with a focus on the Lower School (Grades PK-4) or Middle School (Grades 5-8) in an informal and intimate setting. Engage in meaningful conversations about teaching and learning, extracurricular programs, and other topics of interest. Optional tour afterward.

Norwood will host an Open House for Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten parents. Prospective families are invited to hear from our Head of School, Matthew Gould; Head of Lower School, Fielding Winters; and faculty. Learn about Norwood’s unique, child-centered program, where every child is known, celebrated, challenged, and loved. Experience our warm and welcoming school community for yourself! Parents/Guardians Only.

Mosaic

Mosaic is a casual dinner held at Norwood for prospective families who self-identify as families of color, LGBTQ+ families, and/or adoptive families. All faculty/staff and current parent ambassadors who self-identify with any of these underrepresented groups are also invited to join. This special gathering celebrates one of Norwood’s pillars – Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging. There is strength in our differences, and by celebrating our diversity in the community, we can be known and succeed at Norwood! This event is for applicants only.

Middle School Drama Performance

The arts are an integral part of the daily life at Norwood School, fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration that nurtures all of our students. Through drama, students build even stronger self-confidence, develop solid public speaking skills, and hone interpersonal skills while enjoying the fun brought forth through dramatic exploration.
