7TH & 8TH GRADE FALL PLAY: THE INTERNET IS DISTRACT-OH LOOK A KITTEN (NOVEMBER 20-22, 2025)

Norwood's seventh and eighth graders take the stage this fall, November 20-22, 2025, in The Internet Is Distract-Oh Look a Kitten, a fast-paced and hilarious comedy by Ian McWethy about the wild, twisty maze that is the online world.
The play follows Micah, a student with one simple goal: finish a paper on The Great Gatsby before class. But the internet has other ideas! One innocent click leads to another, and soon Micah is dodging pop-up ads, social media influencers, conspiracy theorists, viral video stars, and, yes, distracting cats. With sharp humor and relatable moments, the play shines a light on how hard it can be to stay focused in a digital age and how absurdly funny the distractions can be.

There will be three performances in the Murray Arts Building:
  • Thursday, November 20 at 7:00 p.m.
  • Friday, November 21 at 7:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, November 22 at 2:00 p.m.
Running time is 45 minutes; admission is free.
