Need a Good Laugh? Watch the Seventh and Eighth Grade Fall Play, Help Desk!

During the week of November 16, Norwood's seventh and eighth graders delivered four fantastic performances of "Help Desk," a hilarious comedy by Dan Zolidis about various relatable customer service scenarios. Each show opened with poetry and spoken-word selections by members of SUCCEED. All four shows were filmed and you can watch them here!
A main stage performance is an enormous undertaking in the best of times. Can you imagine handling the countless logistics during challenging times like these? Bravo and congratulations to the cast and crew of this year's fall play, Help Desk; props master Marie Darling; costumes designer Claudia Logan; live-stream producer Mike Haynes; technical director Kirby Mahoney; and a rousing standing ovation to our can-do director and middle school drama teacher, Mia Fisher, who had the vision to create an outdoor theatre, rehearse two grade-level casts (7th and 8th), and produce four outstanding performances, all while adhering to health and safety protocols. The show must go on! And it certainly did!

Help Desk
is about what happens when you call customer service looking for a solution, but your problems might just be the beginning! Whether you're getting shamed about your inability to log in, giving your credit card information to a scammer, or having a serious conversation with a clown, help desk calls spiral into absurdity for the customers and employees alike in this hysterical comedy.
