Since our founding in 1952, Norwood School has recognized the importance of the early elementary years in building a solid foundation of skills, a positive sense of self, and a love for learning that will serve children throughout their lives. Our belief is simple: if children fall in love with learning and are challenged in a nurturing and supportive community, they will believe in themselves and their great potential.
In the fall of 2017, Norwood expanded its exceptional K-8 program to include pre-kindergarten. For years, many of our current and prospective families had been asking for a pre-kindergarten program, and we believed we could better serve our families and our mission
of educating the whole child by beginning our work with children at the very start of their educational journey. As a Norwood parent once said, “The best beginnings are at Norwood.” We couldn’t agree more, and we are thrilled to begin the Norwood journey one year earlier during one of the most critical periods of childhood growth and development.
