"In my children's lives, mine is not always the voice they listen to. It could be a teacher, or a coach. At Norwood they set the standard for how you treat people and how you live your life. They look at each child and figure out what that child needs. They embrace these kids. They show them how to be. They go the extra mile to create success."

    - Betsy Turley, Norwood Alumna, mother of a current Norwood student and two Norwood graduates

"Our students are engaged. They're happy to be here. We're really about teaching children to love learning, and we try a lot of different approaches to help them."

    - 4th Grade Teacher Christie Westermann

"My favorite subject is probably history. I love sports. I used to not be a big fan of Spanish, but last year it clicked. I represented El Salvador in Model U.N. I had no drama experience whatsoever, but this year I helped direct the school musical."

    - Matthew, Norwood Alumnus
  • Jane Martens, Director of Physical Education

"People are multidimensional. We're the sum of many parts. When you ignore any one of those parts, you ignore the wholeness of the person and who he or she can become. The natural affinity we have for art and music and movement is there for a reason. They're all part of that wholeness."

    - Jane Martens, Director of Physical Education
