  • We Set the Bar High.

Norwood sets high standards - in all academic areas - based on the highest performing systems in the world. Our talented teachers help each student meet or exceed these standards through regular assessments, a blend of traditional and progressive teaching methods, and the knack for knowing what each student needs to succeed.

  • A Happy Place of Learning.

Don't let the giggles fool you. A Norwood education involves a rigorous pursuit of learning that is challenging for each and every student, but we also nurture a love for learning along the way. Our goal is simple - that at the end of the day, students can't wait to return in the morning.

  • How You Lead Your Life Matters.

Five key values - character, learning, creativity, spirituality, and service - are part of the air we breathe. With an emphasis on global learning, students develop at a very early age the knowledge, understanding, values, and skills needed to make positive contributions to the wider community.

  • Don't Call Them 'Extras'.

World languages, art, music, P.E., drama, athletics - there's nothing “extra” about them. They're fundamental and held to the same high standards as math or science or history or writing or anything else we do here. Sometimes we weave them together, creating a multihued tapestry of learning.

  • Why K-8?

Learning what you love at an early age is a huge step toward a lifelong love of learning. As they grow and flourish as students and in their careers, our graduates continually remind us just how well the K-8 model works. As one parent said, “The best beginnings are at Norwood.”
