Discover The Arts At Norwood

The arts play a significant role in the Norwood PK-8 experience. Beginning in our early grades, creativity is encouraged and nurtured in all classrooms – not just in the art studios and music rooms. Norwood’s integrated curriculum brings performance to social studies and reading classes, art and design to science class, and music to Spanish class. Through artistic expression in all classes, Norwood School students experience the delight, wonder, self-assurance, and outside-the-box thinking that comes with creative accomplishment.

Click on the photos above to explore Norwood's rich programs in the visual arts, music, and drama – as well as to see a sampling of the impressive art created by Norwood students.

The Lauryn M. Sutton Art Gallery

The Lauryn M. Sutton Art Gallery was established in the spring of 2015 and is located in the middle school foyer. The gallery, named in memory of Lauryn Mary Sutton '14, features a wonderful variety of student and alumni art throughout the year.
Located in Bethesda, MD, Norwood School develops students in grades PK-8 into confident lifelong learners who have the academic, character, and leadership skills to succeed in high school and beyond. Recognizing that children are multi-faceted, Norwood provides many opportunities for safe risk-taking, exploration, discovery, and growth in a nurturing, supportive, and inclusive school community.
