Dick was first a member of the Norwood faculty as a sixth grade teacher from 1977-1980. After leaving to pursue two years of full-time graduate study, he returned to Norwood in 1982 as Administrative Director. In 1983 he was appointed Head of School and has served in that capacity since then. Dick is a graduate of Yale University and holds a M.Ed. from the University of Virginia and an Ed.D. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. He is active in regional and national professional associations and has served on the boards of several area independent schools. He and his wife, Jane, enjoy spending time with their two children, both Norwood School graduates, and antiquing. Dick’s other interests include reading, sculling, fly fishing, and model wooden ship building.

Lynne Astrich first came to Norwood as a parent of Alicia Astrich (now Rago) (Class of ’80) and Craig Astrich (Class of ’84) and after three years was invited by Norwood’s second head of school to join the staff. Lynne has worked with our present head for the past 20+ years and earned a Norwood chair for 25 years of service to the School. Prior to Norwood she was on the staff of Maryland’s former United States Senator Joseph D. Tydings and was active politically in Montgomery County. In her present position at Norwood she works closely with the Head of School on numerous assignments and projects, is an officer of the Board of Trustees, and a member of the School’s Administrative Team. Lynne holds a B.A.degree from the University of Maryland.
MOUSSA, Ms. Lloret

Lloret has been part of the Norwood community since 2001 as a parent, volunteer, and since 2005 as Coordinator of School and Parent Activities. Lloret is responsible for coordinating school events and meetings, publishing the Thursday Memo, and managing the School calendar. She is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, where she earned a B.S. in Business Management. She has worked with international companies in consumer marketing in several European countries and is fluent in German, Spanish, and French.
